...you just have to find it...
this city afloat the sea,
can't you see it's my dream?

long overdue project for painting class. lol, i took an extension and completely abused it xD;;; "orz. gawd the buildings took so long and i was bored out of my mind >_<;;~

plus the scanner stole all the colours away, as usual =_=;;~ *wishes she had a bigger scanner so as not to rely on school scanner anymoar D:* tried to restore the colours as best as i could in PS, but it's never really the same >.<;;

done with watercolour+gouache

this took me...let's just say that i was listening to the Harry Potter audio books from book one when i started painting the buildings (after laying down the base colours), and i finished when i got to the middle of book 4.....D:
inspired by Yerka's surrealistic works ^^~

ps. sorry parts of the painting's kindda blurry D:....i swear, the school scanners are screwed up ;_;~

pps:...i just looked up 10th kingdom "orz. ....-_-;; similarities are completely unintentional, as i've never seen or heard of the movie before o_o;;;~

That is fantastic. Watercolours can be such a beeyatch, especially when doing small details, but you've certainly tamed it :)

I've been experimenting with watercolor....well I'm pretty crappy at it. HAHA

It looks nice. If you have access to a digital camera, sometimes it's helpful to take a picture of your work. It helps not to lose the color so much, you just have to get the right angle for lack of glare and odd shadows

There is no past, there is no future, there is only the present and stillness

That is a lonnng time omg XD.
This is so amazing, though!!! I adore watercolor and gouache and you did such a great job ;;. How did you get the washes to be so smooth? Is it gouache?

It's beautiful :)! I really like the transition between the two worlds, where you can still see the water ripples near the surface >w<.

Oh wow! That's the exact place I dream of living in when I grow up! :D (hehe just kidding about the growing up part. Not planning on doing something so silly!) This gets two thumbs up and a fav! :)

Wow, this is awesome :D It reminds me of the key theme of the 10th Kingdom. ;)
