edit: Someone asked to download this music so I've uploaded it to mediafire. Here's the link if anyone else is interested.
I'm really excited about this thing because I spent so long on both the background, animation and music. Hope you guys like it . Let me know what you think?
Inspired by Mononoke-hime, at least with the forest god stag : ).
Initially I just wanted to do a fancy pan-shot of a long background, but wanted to add a little animation to it. This took a lot longer than I anticipated when I first envisioned this, and kept adjusting stuff "orz. The preloader also took me a day cause I was stubborn and wanted to do it in different scenes. In the end I gave up and went with doing everything in one scene. The positive side to that is I understand flash a lot better now, so I'll be putting together that tutorial on animated short films soon.
Music is also written by me. I wanted to go for a really calming, almost spiritual effect, and drew my inspiration from a lot of Japanese composers and game music.
Programs used:
Painted in Painttool SAI and animated in photoshop, put together in Flash.
Music was written in Finale
sound effects from freesound.org, and everything was mashed together in Adobe Audition
Some of my other work:
