Cool beans. I always wonder whether or not it's worth putting in a whole lot of detail if it's not necessarily seen. You don't grayscale your work do you?

lol, sorry for the late reply; it seems i've started to miss people's replies now because of such an influx of them D;

no, i don't grayscale my work. don't know how to colour with overlays and stuff like that, especially since painter leans more towards a traditional way of painting~~ i dunno, personally i think these small details probably won't be necessary if you're doing concept art, but i like touching stuff up xDD;;;...bad habit, i guess. but you can see it when it gets printed, so it's good for printing for posters when i go sell my stuff at conventions =)

Greyscaling actually uses the multiply setting but no it's not effective for Painter, more for Photoshop. Just had to ask because I saw some gray tones in it and you switch back and forth between the programs. In the case of making it poster sized I'd say it's worth it but any smaller would be kind of pointless (even though I do it too).

uh..yah, see...multiply, overlays, same diff in my books xDD;;~ i usually only use them for texturing. the gray tones are just how the colour mixing turned out, i guess =3;;~~

Watch your thoughts, they become words.
Watch your words, they become actions.
Watch you actions, they become habits.
Watch your habits, they become character.
Watch your character, for it becomes...your destiny.
