some sketches from my sketchbook.

I'm trying out a new sketching style and I think I really like the one to the right. I haven't been this satisfied with a sketch in a while now xD;;~ I think the one to the left is Mother Gothel, from Tangled...or at least, when I finished it, I was like "hey, it kindda looks like herrr....sortta...kindda...>.>"

I love curly hair now +__+;;

What do you guys think?

Notes on the pic to the right: she may be the witch from little mermaid...well, my version of it, but she holds this mirror that shows a part of your soullll ooooo

lol.

oh, and it's also to say that I might not be around dA for a while. i know i've been a lot more active than before, but I'm going back into a hiatus kind of thing because school is getting too pressuring and busy ^^.

Wow.
I really like all the digital art that you post, but I feel like you lose a lot of your own personal touch on the way. This is probably one of my favorite dev from you.
I absolutely love the way you shade on paper. It's really, really good.

You should have a tutorial on how you draw a womans body. :3 Your art is amazing and inspiring.

Thanks! i kind of want to do the body parts seperately first and then once I've covered arms, legs, torso, feet, etc, I'll go into contructing face, facial expression, body, posing, and then hopefully into colour theory, composition, etc.

...but I don't have that much free time so i have no idea how long these will take xD;;

The forms and shading are excellent, but the expressions are on another level, they really "sell the look" and give you a glimpse into the character. =)

Out of curiosity how long did these sketches take?

thanks! These sketches took the same time as a class...so 1-2 hours, give or take? I was in a lecture and got bored.
