Art both traps me and frees me. I feel both suffocated and exhilarated.


something personal. well, more personal than usual, but it didn't really turn out exactly the way I wanted it. ...not in a bad way though =). I also wanted to try a colour scheme i've never done before, so...yay.
I'm in China right now, and I feel a lot better xD~ bought a LOT of art books. and will buy more :D
although...my grandfather's computer is a bit....slow? gah @__@;;

edit:/ fucking riots got china to block facebook. now i've no way of contacting my friends properly D:

wow, genius .... if you see the title as a question, the question of how to get out, then it also shows the answer. You ARE out, you are nowhere in. Its just about to change your perspective. You are the creator of your own world. Its your decission how to see the things and yourself.

Absolutely stunning composition! Particular enjoy the repeating pattern of ink lines falling into place like bars in a prison cell. The work feels both calm AND dynamic at the same time. Your use of color/staging the "framed" drawings behind the figure also make me see the illustrations as both "real" and created, if that makes any sense.

This is a wonderful personal piece and I'd be incredibly happy if I ever get to make something of this quality some day. Thanks so much for sharing it!

This is so beautiful :heart: I've always loved pictures like this where different pieces make another image ( the tree and wings ^_^;; )
