I don't think I've ever posted my pen sketches here before. I actually doodle a LOT with my ink pen....when I have the time, anyways. I mostly like to sketch people on subways. Yes, I'm the creepy person looking at you and when you look back at me I pretend to look at someone else. LOL.
These were done at Anime North, while I was waiting around. I don't really do commissions because....well, you see how messy they are lol.
ps. thanks guys who bought my prints <3. My college debt is a little less now xD;; <3.
PS. I work on both sides of a page in my sketchbooks, so the shadow of another sketch on my pages are actually pen sketchs from the other side of the page, seeping through because the paper is kind of cheap and i got the book at the dollar store . but it's okay, it's awesome and cheap and the cover is prettier than moleskins anyways
I love cheap but good sketchbooks too, you feel less pressured when simply sketching in them That and you sketch a lot better when you're just doodling around
This are some pretty neat sketches. I always wondered how do people sketch from life and turn that into anime characters. Like if I want to draw anime characters the only way to do that will be to use other anime as reference especially when I'm drawing from unusual angles.
hahaha nah, jokes. no, there are features of the realistic person that you can transfer into a drawing and make them look anime-ish without turning them completely into anime characters and have them retain their distinctive featues xD;
Just an suggestion. Maybe you should do a tutorial on that. Taking a bunch of real life pictures/drawings and showing your process of turning them into anime characters. I think a lot of people might like that.
LOL " Yes, I'm the creepy person looking at you and when you look back at me I pretend to look at someone else" I'd never mind if you look at me then LOL. Great works, and great film too. I almost cry because it's just beautiful.
